Please see the current schedule on my home page.
I have been a fitness instructor for over 20 years and am currently certified as an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Personal Trainer, and as a Lifetime Certified Spinning instructor through Johnny G. Spinning at Mad Dogg Athletics.
My journey into personal fitness began in my 30's when I looked for an exercise that would help me "get into shape." For me that was running -- after almost fainting at the finish line of my first 5K, I persevered and eventually ran a marathon at the age of 47. Believe it or not, I completed marathon #20,The Key Bank Vermont City Marathon in May 2010!
In addition to my fitness pursuits, I have a degree in Nutrition Science and my own nutrition consulting business. My "real job" is as an Adjunct Professor in the Physical Education Department at the State University in Oneonta, New York. There I teach Yoga and a class I created called, "Healthy Ways to Weight Loss for Women." In my spare time, I also teach a gentle yoga class to residents in an adult residence home nearby.
For the past 5 years I have been studying with master trainers to complete YogaFit's 200-hour training program. This rigorous certification is approved by Yoga Alliance and designed to insure the highest standards of yoga instruction. In September 2009, I attained my goal and completed the level 5 YogaFit certification with Beth Shaw, the founder of YogaFit. I am now a Registered Yoga Teacher with Yoga Alliance!
